Manipur: Covid-19 cases increase to 102

Imphal/UNI: The total number of Covid-19 positive cases has increased to 102 and the number of active cases to 76 in Manipur.

Last night, 13 persons (7 males, 6 females) were confirmed as COVID 19 positive at the VRDLs of RIMS (2) and JNIMS ( 11 ). They were from Bishnupur (1), Churachandpur (1), Senapati (3), Tamenglong (2), Tengnoupal (4) and Ukhrul (2) districts. The two persons from Bishnupur, Churachandpur and the two from Tamenglong are returnees from Chennai.

Three persons from Senapati are returnees from Mumbai while the four from Tengnoupal are returnees from Delhi.

All of them were kept at the Covid Care Facilities at RIMS and JNIMS. Their conditions were stable. All necessary precautionary measures such as containment and contact tracing are being taken.

Last evening, 12 cases from RIMS were discharged after they were found COVID 19 negative on two consecutive RT PCR tests at VRDL, RIMS.

The total number of recovered cases has increased to 26. The recovery rate has improved to 25.49 per cent according to Dr. Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang, Additional Director & Spokesperson Health Department, Manipur.
