Nagaland reports 14 newCOVID-19 positive cases, five in Mizoram

Guwahati/IBNS: Nagaland has reported 14 new positive cases for COVID-19 in last 24 hours andwith the new cases the state tally has now increased to 94.

Confirming the report, Nagaland Health minister S Pangnyu Phom said that, the 14 people who returned to the state from Chennai recently have tested positive for the new virus. 

S Pangnyu Phom tweeted – “14 new positive cases of COVID-19 has been reported in the last 24 hours out of 235 samples tested.All the samples tested were from Chennai Returnees. Positive : 94, Active : 94.”

On the other hand, Mizoram has registered five fresh COVID-19 positive cases. 

With the new cases, Mizoram tally has now surged to 22. 

According to the Mizoram government, from 340 samples which were tested on Thursday at Zoram Medical College (ZMC) laboratory, 5 samples have been confirmed positive for COVID-19. 

Out of the five new patients, four are inpatients at Zoram Medical College and one is under institutional quarantine at Lunglei.
