Nashik/UNI: With six dead patients testing positive for Coronavirus in Malegaon on Sunday, the toll due to the infectious disease in the town went up to 40 and in the district to 42.
In past couple of days, the swab reports of 8 patients, died earlier, have tested positive.
While, 12 new corona cases were witnessed in the district today, bringing the tally of positive cases in the district to 796, the latest report released by the district administration said.
Meanwhile, seven new corona infected patients were identified in Malegaon, taking the tally of positive cases in the district to 617.
Of the total cases, 40 patients have succumbed to the disease while 428 others have been recovered and discharged from the hospital.
Now, there are 112 active cases in Malegaon.
In the rural parts of the district, 5 new patients were tested positive today, taking the number of infected cases in these areas to 103.
Till date, 60 corona patients from the rural parts have been recovered and discharged from the hospitals.
Now, there are 43 active cases in rural parts of district.
Of the 796 corona infected cases witnessed in the district till date, the maximum of 617 were from Malegaon city, 103 from rural parts of district, 46 from Nashik city and 30 from out of district.
Of total casualties, 40 were reported in Malegaon and 2 in Nashik city.
Whereas 548 patients have been recovered and discharged from various hospitals in the city.
Now, there are 206 active cases in the district, the report added.
