With 92,605 new coronavirus cases, India's tally crosses 54-lakh mark

New Delhi/IBNS: India has recorded more recoveries than the number of fresh cases of coronavirus for the second consecutive day, the Union Health Ministry bulletin informed on Sunday.

According to the data, 94,612 people have recovered in the last 24 hours while the number of fresh cases during the same period is 92,605.

However, the total tally of the contagion in the Asian country past the 54-lakh mark.

With this, more than 43 lakh Covid-19 infected patients have recovered from the across the country, pushing the recovery rate close to 80 per cent.

India registered 1,133 new deaths related to the contagion in the last 24 hours taking the total fatalities to 86,752.

India, the second-worst affected country worldwide, has been adding over 90,000 cases of the contagion daily.

Delhi, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh are the maximum affected states in the country.
