He was accompanied by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

The event was blessed by several religious leaders including Swami Avdheshanand Ji Maharaj, Swami Divyanand Ji Maharaj, Balyogi Umesh Nath Ji Maharaj, Swami Hari Giri Ji Maharaj, and Swami Narendra Giri Ji Maharaj. The dip was followed by a community feast with Dalit Sants where people participated with fervor and enthusiasm.

The BJP President was joined by representatives from a cross section of Scheduled Castes during the Holy dip.

Retired bureaucrats, police officers and other prominent figures from Scheduled Caste communities participated in the event.

Commenting on the significance of the event, Shah said, “The Kumbh Snan is an extraordinary event, not only in India but in the entire world, where crores of worshippers and saints have been coming together for centuries at the same place and same time to take a holy dip without any invitation from anyone. Massive facilities are created with blessings from our religious leaders. The Kumbh also gives an opportunity to people to seek blessings from our revered Saints and Gurus.”
