Congress takes dig at Modi govt over CNG price

| @indiablooms | Apr 14, 2022, at 05:25 pm

New Delhi/UNI: The Congress party on Thursday took a dig at Narendra Modi-led government over hike in price of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and termed it as "loot".

"Inflation is increasing due to the 'fuel loot' scheme' of the Modi government. Today, again CNG price hiked by Rs 2.50 per Kg. How many records will inflation set ? How much more havoc it will cause," Congress chief spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala said in a tweet.

Surjewala's reaction came after the Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) hiked the price of CNG in Delhi by Rs 2.5 per Kg. Now, per Kg CNG price in the national capital is Rs 71.61.

In Noida and Ghaziabad, the price is Rs 74.17 per Kg while Rs 79.94 in Gurugram.
