Ex-militant of NSCN-KYA lynched by villagers in Arunachal Pradesh's Longding

Longding: An ex-militant of NSCN-KYA was lynched by angry villagers in Arunachal Pradesh's Longding district.

The incident took place at of Longphong village in Longding district on Thursday evening at around 8-30 pm.

A senior police official of Longding district said that, the ex-militant of NSCN-KYA had threatened some local villagers and he was involved in extortion.

"He had also demanded money from local villagers. Yesterday evening, the ex-militant was lynched by a group of angry villagers," the police officer said.

The deceased ex-militant of NSCN-KYA was identified as W Wangsa.

NSCN-KYA and few other factions of NSCN are active in Longding, Tirap and Changlang districts of Arunachal Pradesh.
