Srinagar: A day after J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha appealed for patience, Kashmiri Pandits hit streets in many parts of the Valley to seek justice for Rahul Bhat and immediate relocation.

In Srinagar, a group of Kashmiri Pandit migrant employees including women took out a protest demanding justice for Bhat.

They also raised slogans against LG administration, Deputy Commissioner Budgam and demanded immediate relocation.

The protesters carrying banners culminated at Lal Chowk.

"Nobody is giving attention and addressing our demands. That is the reason we are on the streets. Our main demand is to relocate us to Jammu as we are not here to die," a Pandit protesters in Srinagar said.

A group of Kashmiri pandits on Saturday immersed roses in River Jhelum in Raj Bagh on the 10th day of mourning of Rahul Bhat.

The protests of Kashmiri Pandits also took place in Anantnag and Baramulla.

Kashmir has been seeing protests by Kashmiri Pandits for the last 10 days after Rahul Bhat was shot dead at his office at Chadoora Budgam on May 12.

Bhat lived in Sheikhpora, Budgam, a secure accommodation for Pandit employees.

On Friday, LG Manoj Sinha had appealed to Kashmiri Pandits to be little patient and promised that the government would take care of their safety and interests.

“They have been working here for a long time. People of Kashmir also want that brotherhood is maintained. I appeal to them that they should keep a little patience. I assure them that all the issues that have been raised and brought to my notice will be resolved,” Sinha had said on Friday.
