Jammu: SIA arrests ex- Hizb-ul-Mujaheedin terrorist

Jammu: A team of State Investigating Agency (SIA) on Tuesday arrested a former terrorist of Hizb-ul-Mujaheedin who was wanted in many cases.

Sources in the SIA said that the ex-HM terrorist namely Abdul Rashid code Arsalan, a resident of Tantna, at present Ghat, Doda in Jammu, has been arrested for his 'involvement' in a case registered in 2010 at JIC Jammu.

"During the crime review by the Director SIA J&K, the SIA team was directed to identify the terrorist involved in the FIR and after strenuous efforts, the CIO of the instant case, deputed the team to Doda to arrest him,” they said.

Sources added that the terrorist was active in the year 2009-2010 and was in constant touch with Kashmir-based HM terrorists and carried out many terrorist activities in Doda valley.

"His arrest will be further unfolded and unearthed some new facts during the investigation of the case,” they added.
