Hyderabad/UNI: Telangana Chief Minister KC Rao launched an attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday, as he welcomed Opposition's Presidential candidate Yashwant Sinha and sought support for him.

Rao, in an address, said that Prime Minister Modi, when he addresses a public rally on Sunday, should answer his questions ranging from doubling farmers' income to bringing back black money, all electoral promises made by the ruling party.

He also appealed to the electorate for the Presidential polls to listen to their conscience and pick Sinha.

"I appeal to all to compare the two candidates and vote according to your conscience," he said.

Rao mentioned the farmers' protests and slammed the ruling party for calling them 'terrorists'.

"You said you'd double farmer income, instead you doubled expenditure," he said.

He also alleged that the Prime Minister was working as an 'agent' of some industrialists, and slammed him over the coal policy, saying imported coal, which is more expensive than domestic coal, is being promoted.

He also slammed the government over a number of companies including Fiat, Ford, General Motors and others leaving India.

He also mentioned the weakening Rupee against the Dollar, the migrant crisis witnessed during the Covid-19 lockdown, the bodies found floating in Ganga, and the employment situation.

"If you want, answer the charges when you address tomorrow," he said referring to the Prime Minister.

Hyderabad saw a show of strength by both BJP and TRS on Saturday, as streets were covered with saffron and pink flags, as well as posters from both parties.

Sinha was received at the airport by Rao. TRS workers also took out a massive bike rally from the airport to Jal Vihar, where a meeting was organised in support of Sinha's candidature.

Sinha said that the presidential election is a fight between two ideologies. He will also meet leaders of AIMIM and Congress and seek their support.
