New Delhi: Building collapses in Satya Niketan, four labourers rescued

New Delhi: Four labourers were rescued and search operation is underway to fish out other two-three persons, who are feared trapped under debris after a three storeyed residential building collapsed at Satya Niketan building in Delhi, when renovation work was being done.

The Delhi Fire Service said, three-four persons suspected to be buried under the debris.

The fire department received a call about 1325 hours regarding a house collapse at Satya Niketan building, after the call, immediately, six fire tenders were rushed to the site.

The caller informed the fire department that around 4-5 labourers have been trapped under the debris.

The firefighters immediately started a rescue operation there. As per reports, two labourers have been rescued and shifted to nearby hospital.

“A three storeyed residential building collapsed when renovation work was being done resulting in four-five persons suspected to be buried under the debris and search operation is underway,” said Atul Garg, director, Delhi Fire Service.
