New Delhi/IBNS: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has garnered praise for offering water to National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL) Managing Director Padmaja Chunduru in the middle of the latter's speech.

In a viral video, Chunduru is seen asking for water mid-speech.

Soon, Sitharaman walks up to her with a glass and a bottle of water.

While the audience appreciates the gesture with a round of applause, Chunduru thanked the Finance Minister on the dais.

Praising Sitharaman, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan tweeted, "This graceful gesture by FM Smt. @nsitharaman ji reflects her large heartedness, humility and core values. A heart warming video on the internet today."
