PLA must have absolute faith in Communist Party of China: Jinping

Beijing, Sep 23 (IBNS): Chinese President Xi Jinping demanded “absolute loyalty” from People's Liberation Army (PLA)'s top brass, media reports said.

Jingpin also asked PLA forces to repose “firm faith” in the ruling Communist Party, guarantee a smooth chain of command and make sure all decisions are implemented.

“Headquarters of PLA forces must have absolute loyalty and firm faith in the Communist Party of China, guarantee a smooth chain of command and make sure all decisions from the central leadership are fully implemented,” chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC) and the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Jinping said.

The statement came in the wake of border stand-off between the two neighbouring nations, India and Chine, as about 1,000 armed Chinese troops had entered into the Indian Territory at Chumur area in Ladakh region along the Line of Actual Control (LAC).

An official communication also said that all PLA forces should follow the instructions of President Jinping and update their operations to meet new goals and missions set by the CMC, reports said.
