Ramallah/Xinhua: Two Israeli soldiers were injured during a raid campaign on the West Bank city of Nablus, while 14 Palestinians were arrested, Palestinian and Israeli security sources said on Wednesday.

Avichai Adraee, Israeli army spokesman, said in a press statement that the two soldiers were lightly and moderately injured during their attempt to arrest a Palestinian wanted man from Nablus city.

"Someone threw a pipe bomb at them, while they were raiding a house," Adraee said, adding that they were transferred to a hospital to get their treatment.

Meanwhile, the Israeli army arrested 14 Palestinians from the cities of Ramallah, Nablus, Bethlehem and Tulkarm, according to the quasi-governmental Palestinian Prisoners Club (PPC).

Israeli forces often carry out overnight raids in Palestinian Authority-controlled areas in the West Bank to arrest suspected Palestinians who are accused by Israeli of carrying out activities and operations against it.
