'There is only one winner here. Me': Sonakshi Sinha to people trolling her for Twitter exit
Mumbai/IBNS: Actor Sonakshi Sinha came out with a strong message for her trollers who were trying to mock the Bollywood star over her exit from micro-blogging site Twitter, following the heated "nepotism" debate which was triggered by Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide.
In a long post on Instagram, Sonakshi, the daughter of veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha, said she had won since the trollers would now have no access to her.
An excerpt from the post read, "Ive taken away YOUR power to be able to say whatever it is that you want to me, my family and my friends. Ive taken away that access you had to me, that i had given you so trustingly. So theres only one winner here. Me."
"....I wish all those haters and trolls lots of love and healing, or you can continue with the hate but please know it’ll NEVER reach me," the post continued.
Sushant, who rose to prominence without having a lineage in the film industry, committed suicide at his flat in Mumbai's Bandra on Jun 14.
As reports of Sushant's mental depression surfaced, Twitterati started blaming the Bollywood biggies including Karan Johar, Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha for encouraging "nepotism" in the film industry, allegedly leading the onscreen Mahendra Singh Dhoni to choose the path of suicide.
In another reaction to the criticisms and backlashes, filmmaker Karan unfollowed all but eight people on Twitter.
Now the celebrated filmmaker, who was called out even earlier by actor Kangana Ranaut for being the "flag bearer of nepotism", follows Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Apoorva Mehta and three handles related to Dharma Productions.
