Mumbai/IBNS: Indian actress Sheeba Chaddha, who has featured in recently-released web series Bandish Bandits, felt the Covid-19 pandemic has brought some difficult times for the theatre practitioners.

In an exclusive interview with India Blooms, Chaddha said, "Theatre has received a very strong blow because some other form of theatre can happen outside but not theatre. Theatre as a community practice has obviously taken a blow. I think it is a very difficult time for theatre practitioners world over."

Chaddha played a significant role in Bandish Bandits which premiered on Amazon Prime Video on Aug 4.

Speaking about her character in the web series, Chaddha said, "Bandish Bandits is a love story of two youngsters and the setting is Rajasthan. There is a family of Indian classical music.

"My character is the lady of the house and she is the only woman of the house of four men. It is a three-dimensional role with a lot of journey."

Produced and created by Amritpal Singh Bindra and directed by Anand Tiwari, the all-new Amazon original series is set in Jodhpur and tells the story of two young musicians, hailing from contrasting backgrounds.

The web series stars Ritwik Bhowmik and Shreya Chaudhry in the lead roles.

Bandish Bandits also features an original soundtrack, composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, who have also made their digital debut with this show.
