No amount of skin show or pornography can save it: Kangana Ranaut on Deepika Padukone's 'Gehraiyaan'

Mumbai/IBNS: After lashing out at a journalist for asking a question on Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone, actress Kangana Ranaut has now almost reviewed the former's newly-released film 'Gehraiyaan', which has earned mixed reviews on social media.

Sharing a note on Instagram, Ranaut criticised 'Gehraiyaan' calling it out for its lack of "depth".

She said, "I am also a millennial but I identify and understand this kind of romance ... in the name of millennial/new age/urban movies don't sell trash pls ... bad movies are bad movies no amount of skin show or pornography can _ save it ... it's a basic fact koi gehraiyaan wali baat nahi hai (there is no depth in it)."

Earlier when a journalist had asked her about an influencer allegedly shaming Padukone for her "hemlines and necklines", Ranaut had said, "Look, I am here to defend those who can’t defend themselves. Alright? She can defend herself. She has the privilege, the platform and I can’t promote her film here. Sit down."

'Gehraiyaan', which also stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday in the lead, is a story on modern love, relationship, friendship and infidelity.

It was released on Amazon Prime Video on Feb 11.
