New Delhi/Kolkata/IBNS: Tollywood actor-MP Mimi Chakraborty was not alone when she walked into Parliament on the second day of the budget session on Wednesday.

Mimi treated her parents with a visit to Parliament on a day Union Minister Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the last annual budget of the Modi government 2.0 before the 2024 General Elections.

The caption of the Instagram post reads, "Well my dad said this was his second best day in life, 1st is when i was born(well at-least i would like to put it that way)."

Mimi, one of the leading contemporary film actors in West Bengal, is the one-term Lok Sabha MP of Parliament's second largest opposition party Trinamool Congress (TMC).

The actor-turned politician was elected from the iconic Jadavpur constituency of West Bengal in 2019.

On the acting front, she was last seen in Khela Jawkhon, a film which was directed by Arindam Sil.

After working for more than a decade in Tollywood, Mimi has also ventured into the Hindi film industry.
