Mumbai, Aug 12 (IBNS): Pernia Qureshi organized a special screening of her debut film 'Jaanisaar' over the weekend in Delhi, for her friends from the fashion industry.
The occasion was graced by Anupama Dayal, Suneet Varma, Dhruv Kapoor, Bhumika Sharma, Nupur Mehta Puri and many more. The guests were in awe of the film, its design aspect and of course Prenia’s performance.

Nupur Mehta Puri a close friend said, "The movie is everything you expect from a great artist like Muzaffar Ali. The costumes and jewellery takes you right back to 18th century Lucknow. Pernia looks flawless throughout the film. The movie is a piece of art."

Another notable personality from the fashion industry, Anupama Dayal said, "I totally enjoyed the ambience created by the film. I went straight to 1877, Pernia looked stunning and danced very well. All in all, it was a stunning movie."

Suneet Varma who has worked with Muzaffar Ali in the past said, "I've known Muzaffar Ali since 25 years, and had the pleasure of working on the costumes for his movie, Zooni. His vision as a film maker is exceptional and rare talent- if fine art ever met cinema, then he  was the only one to have done it with such sensitivity and brilliance. Pernia with her cultured background and understanding of dance and music was the perfect Noor!”

‘Jaanisaar’ is a period drama starring the gorgeous Pernia Qureshi and Pakistani heartthrob Imran Abbas Naqvi in lead roles.

Set 20 years after the first war of Indian independence in 1857, the film essays the love story of a revolutionary courtesan of Avadh, and a prince brought up in England. ‘Jaanisaar’ is directed by Muzaffar Ali of cult classic Umrao Jaan fame and produced by Meera Ali. The film released on August 7.
