The Burnt Orange Heresy premieres at TIFF 2019

Toronto: Italian-American drama thriller film directed by Giuseppe Capotondi, The Burnt Orange Heresy, was premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival 2019 at Elgin Theatre here on Thursday.

The film is based on the book of the same name by Charles Willeford.

The film stars Claes Bang, Elizabeth Debicki, Mick Jagger, and Donald Sutherland. The story is based on Charles Willeford's noir novel and starring Elizabeth Debicki, Donald Sutherland, Claes Bang, and Mick Jagger.

The story begins with James Figueras (Bang) using his impressive knowledge of art history, his sights are soon set higher, on a rare painting by the reclusive genius Jerome Debney (Sutherland). With a twist of plot, Joseph Cassidy (Jagger), a wealthy art collector became a victim of greed and desire which leads to murder.

Giuseppe Capotondi was born in Corinaldo, Italy and co-directed the documentary Solomon Island followed it with the award-winning fiction feature The Double Hour and also wrote and directed the television series Endeavour.
