Manchester/UNI: The third and the deciding Test between West Indies and England on day 4 was abandoned due to continuous rain without a ball being bowled at Old Trafford on Monday.
Earlier, on day 3 of the final session England declared second innings at 226/2 setting a target of 399 runs before the visitors.
In reply at stumps on day 3, Windies were 10/2 still needing 389 runs to win.
On day four, the rain started pouring in from morning and continued throughout the day forcing the umpires to abandon the day four match.
West Indies have had an exceptional day of rearguard battling, reaching the close on 10 for 2 without further loss.
Stuart Broad is one wicket away from 500 Test wickets.
However, the good news is, day 5 promises to be bright and sunny and England need 8 wickets to win the series.
