Dubai/IBNS: An unbeaten half-century by AB de Villers and a 43 by skipper Virat Kohli powered Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to defeat Rajasthan Royals (RR) by seven wickets in the 13th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) at Dubai International Cricket Stadium here on Saturday.

Chasing a target of 178 set by RR, RCB scored 179/3 in 19.4 overs.

AB scored an unbeaten knock of 55 off just 22 balls, earning a victory for his team.

Earlier riding on Steve Smith's well-crafted 57 off 36 balls, RR posted 177/6 in 20 overs.

Besides Smith, Indian cricketer Robin Uthappa scored 41 off 22 balls.

Though at one stage RR were looking good to score even a bigger total, Kohli's frontline bowler Chris Morris, who picked four wickets in total, pulled things back in the ultimate over of the innings.
