Former Indian cricket captain and ex-BCCI chief Sourav Ganguly has lauded Rohit Sharma-led Team India after they steamrolled Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup 2023 final to lift the title on Sunday.

Ganguly, who has always believed Team India as a mighty force, tweeted, "I said at the start .. this is a very strong team .. they looked superb throughout ..well done team india.. Rohit sharma second Asia cup title .. well done Rohit , Dravid , support staff selectors and all the team members @bcci."

India's pace bowler Mohammed Siraj scalped six wickets to remove the Sri Lankan top order batting dismissing the entire squad for a humiliating 50.

Siraj removed Pathun Nissanka, Sadeera Samarawickrama, Charith Asalanka and Dhananjaya de Silva in the 4th over to put Sri Lanka on the mat with 12/5.

In 6th over as well, Siraj was on fire cleaning up Captain Dasun Shanaka with a beauty and doing the Ronaldo celebration thereof.
