Indian shuttler Lakshya Sen lost his semi-final clash against Viktor Axelsen ending his golden run in the ongoing Paris Olympics here on Sunday.

Sen put up a valiant show against Denmark's Viktor Axelsen who defeated him straight sets 20-22, 14-21.

The Indian shuttler still has a chance to win a bronze medal when he plays for the metal against Malaysia's Lee Zii Jia on Monday.

In the gold media clash, the Danish badminton star will face Kunlavut Vitidsarn of Thailand.

The Indian shuttler had a dream run in the ongoing Olympics and in the semi-final match he tried to give some tough time to his opponent.

Axelsen kept the proceedings in his control and took early leads, giving Sen a limited chance to bounce back.
