Asia Cup: India put up 166 against Bangladesh

Mirpur, Feb 24 (IBNS) Asked to bat first by Bangladesh, India put up 166 runs in the inaugural match of the Asia Cup, here on Wednesday.

India lost 6 wickets in the process.

The visitors lost early wickets and were in a precarious position until a quickfire 50 plus partnership between Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya bailed them out.

India could not not score 60 in the first 10 but made a strong comeback in the back ten.

Hardik played a crucial quickfire knock of 31 off 18 runs.

Sharma scored 81 runs.

India's skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni hit a six in the last ball of their innings to take the score to 166 runs.

For Bangladesh, Al-amin Hossain was the pick of the bowlers as he picked up 3 wickets.
