Asian Games: Ayyasamy Dharun secures silver in 400m hurdles
Jakarta, Aug 27 (IBNS): Ayyasamy Dharun added to India's tally of medals by winning silver in 400m hurdles on the ninth day of Asian Games 2018 on Monday.
Dharun won the silver by running a national record time of 48.96s.
Earlier, Saurav Ghoshal won a bronze medal in Squash men's singles.
Losing to Taiwan's Tai Tzu Ying in the semifinal, Indian badminton player Saina Nehwal settled for a bronze medal on the ninth day of the competition.
Saina won the medal in women's single.
The 28-year-old player lost to her Taiwanese competitor 17-21, 14-21.
India are presently at the ninth spot with a tally of 39 medals.
