Melbourne, Apr 9 (IBNS):  Apparel manufacturer ASICS has unveiled the new jersey for Australian cricket side which they will wear during the upcoming World Cup.

The uniform is predominantly yellow, with a lime green collar, shoulders and sides on the shirt, while a thin green stripe runs down the sides of the pants, reported Cricket Australia website.

As per the website, next summer, Australia will once again wear retro uniforms after a fan-voted competition led to the 1999 World Cup kit being selected ahead of seven other uniforms.

Australia are the current World Cup champions.

They will start their campaign in Bristol against Afghanistan on June 1.

In this edition of the grand 50-over circket event, the 10 competing nations will play each other once before the top four teams lock horns in the semi-finals ahead of the final at Lord's on July 14.

Australia have won the World Cup title five times.
