Bangalore, Oct 20 (IBNS) Indian spinner Amit Mishra has been summoned by the Bangalore Police after a woman alleged that the cricketer had assaulted her, media reports said.

The woman filed a complaint against Mishra at Ashok Nagar police station last month.

She had alleged that the cricketer assaulted her when she visited the hotel in which he was staying on Sept 25.

Mishra reportedly went to Bangalore last month to prepare for the South Africa series.

The spinner has been included in the Indian Test squad for the first two Test matches against South Africa.
