CWG: Heena Sidhu wins gold in women’s 25m pistol event

Gold Coast, Apr 10 (IBNS): Continuing India's gold rush at the ongoing Commonwealth Games, shooter Heena Sidhu clinched the yellow medal in the women’s 25m pistol event at the Belmont Shooting Centre.

This was India's 11th gold medal in the CWG 2018.

Congratulating Sidhu, Indian Olympic Association tweeted: " Nothing motivates us better than these #Golden mornings! #ThankYou @HeenaSidhu10 on winning us our latest Gold from #GC2018Shooting Women's 25m Pistol Finals! Many #Congratulations on the new #GamesRecord you have to your name. No doubts you've made us proud! #TeamIndia ."

Indian Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore congratulated Sidhu over her gold medal victory.

"A Golden Record! Indian women don't just believe in winning medals, they like shattering records in doing so! Congratulations to @HeenaSidhu10 for snatching a in the 25 m air pistol event with a record setting performance. Women power roaring at #CWG2018 #IndiaAtCWG," Rathore tweeted.
