India played really well: Haq
"They played really well," Haq said at the post-match presentation ceremony.
Blaming the poor batting of his side, he said: "We lost our way with three wickets in the middle. The pitch was really good, and with the quality of their batting, 300 was a pretty good effort."
"If all the batsmen had batted well, it could have been achieved. Two-three batsmen never got in, and got out in the first couple of balls. You can't say much about that. Now we have to just look forward. You can't just think of this game. We have to focus on the next one," he said.
Riding on a big knock of Virat Kohli, India beat arch rivals Pakistan by 76 runs to register a spectacular win in their World Cup encounter at Adelaide.
With their batsmen surrendering one after another, Pakistan were far away from the 301 run target India set for them riding on a scintillating century of Virat Kohli (107). Pakistan were all out for 224 runs in 47 overs.
