Indian Para-athletes leave for Incheon

New Delhi, Oct 15 (IBNS): The first two batches of Indian contingent for Para-Asian Games, 2014 left for Incheon, South Korea on Wednesday.

he Ministry of Skill Development, Entrepreneurship, Youth Affairs and Sports has cleared a contingent of 135 persons including 87 athletes, 3 guide runners, 40 coaches and escorts and 5 officials for Para-Asian Games, 2014 at Incheon, South Korea. Para-Asian Games is to be held from 18th to 24th October, 2014.

Indian contingent will take part in events of Athletics, Badminton, Swimming, Shooting, Powerlifting, Para Table Tennis, Blind Judo, Archery and Wheel Chair Fencing.

The contingent leaves in 3 groups, with the first batch of 60 persons have already left in the morning. The second batch also left in the evening while the last batch will leave on Thursday.
