Indian women Table Tennis team beat Singapore to clinch gold
Gold Coast, Apr 8 (IBNS): Giving good news to people back in India, country's women table tennis team defeated Singapore to clinch gold in the 21st Commonwealth Games here on Sunday.
The Indian team defeated their opponents 3-1.
India has been performing strongly in the CWG since its start this time.

Delighted Indian PM congratulated athletes over their medal wins.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday congratulated Indian athletes for their performances at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Australia.
Congratulating weightlifter Punam Yadav for winning gold, Modi said: "India congratulates Punam Yadav for winning the Gold Medal in the 69 Kg women’s weightlifting event. Her dedication towards weightlifting is truly admirable: PM @narendramodi #GC2018."
Hailing Manu Bhaker for winning the gold medal at women's 10m Air Pistol finals event, the PM said: "Our shooters are distinguishing themselves at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Manu Bhaker continues her stupendous form and bags a Gold in the women’s 10m Air Pistol event. Congratulations to her: PM @narendramodi #GC2018."
Modi also congratulated Heena Sindhu who clinched the Silver in the women's 10m Air Pistol event.
"Delighted that Heena Sidhu won the Silver in the women's 10m Air Pistol event. Congratulations to her and best wishes for her future endeavours: PM @narendramodi #GC2018," said Modi.
Congratulating shooter Ravi Kumar, Modi tweeted: "The promising shooter Ravi Kumar has won the Bronze in the men's 10m Air Rifle event. Every Indian takes pride in his accomplishment. This young shooter has made a rich contribution towards sports: PM @narendramodi #GC2018."
