Bangalore, Apr 26 (IBNS): Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Tuesday said it has signed English bowler Chris Jordan as a replacement for the unavailable Mitchell Starc.

"Jordan will be joining the camp shortly and will add a lot of credibility to RCB's bowling attac," read the club's website.

Coach Allan Donald was quoted as saying by the club website: "I'm delighted to say that I'm looking forward to be working with one of cricket's fine talents in Chris Jordan. Never worked with him personally but I've watched a lot of him, even in county cricket, mostly for England when I was working for South Africa."

“He’s quick, he’s fast, he’s aggressive. But more so he’s brilliant at the death. He had a fantastic T20 World Cup here in India. We’re very, very excited to have him in our camp. Everyone here at the Royal Challengers Bangalore is very excited that Chris Jordan is on board. We welcome him to the RCB family,” said Donald.

The club also tweeted: "Welcome @CJordan! More about the ferocious pacer who helped ENG to the #WT20 final."
Jordan said he cannot wait to join the IPL side.

"First @IPL stint coming up can't wait to join my @RCBTweets teammates should be fun #whatafeeling ," the cricketer tweeted.
