Mumbai, July 3 (IBNS): Sachin Tendulkar, the former international cricketer and the captain of the Indian national cricket team, congratulated his compatriot Rahul Dravid, following the latter's induction into the International Cricket Council's (ICC) Hall of Fame on Monday.

"Congratulations, Rahul Dravid. The wall is finally in the HALL Much deserved," Tendulkar said.

The global body of the sport inducted three former players in its elite list- Claire Taylor, Rahul Dravid and Ricky Ponting.

Taylor represented England in international matches in a career spanning 13 years, from 1998 to 2011.

During his tenure, Dravid was regarded as one of India's batting mainstay. Along with teammates Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman, he formed Test cricket's greatest batting quartet, also popularly nicknamed the Fav Four.

The other inductee, Ricky Ponting is a three-time ICC World Cup winning player, two of which he won as the captain of the Australian Men's cricket team.

He is often regarded as one of the best batsman to have played for Australia.
