South Africa bowl out India for 209 runs
Cape Town, Jan 6 (IBNS): India were bowled out for 209 runs, trailing by 77 runs, in the second day of the first Test match against South Africa here on Saturday.
Hardik Pandya (93) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (25) made a brilliant comeback for India with their gutsy batting which helped the home side reduce the first innings trail.
After initial jolts where India were reduced to 7-92, Kumar and Pandya added 99 runs in the eighth wicket partnership which reduced the gap.
After tea, both Pandya, missing his hundred by seven runs, and Kumar departed as South Africa wrapped up the Indian innings fast.
South Africa were bowled out for 286 runs in their first innings.
Veron Philander (3/33) and Rabada (3/34) dominated the South African bowling attack.
