Vijender Singh registers fifth pro win, KOs Matiouze Royer
This was his fifth straight pro victory and all of them were knockout wins.
The Indian boxer, who had won Olympic medals in his career, emerged victorious little over a minute into the fifth round of the six-round super middleweight contest.
It was the longest bout in Singh's pro career so far.
After winning the match, Singh tweeted: "Thank u."
Matiouze Royer was the most experienced boxers Singh had faced in his career till date.
Singh said he was happy to win his fifth knockout win in a row.
Speaking on his next fight, Singh tweeted: "Now fighting on 13 May in Bolton."
Indian batting icon Sachin Tendulkar congratulated Singh over his achievement and tweeted: "Fantastic @boxervijender on punching your way to a knockout!! The bout last night makes it 5 in a row! Keep punching away to many more!"
