Zimbabwe names squad for WC

Harare, Jan 7 (IBNS): Zimbabwe selectors on Wednesday named the 15-member squad for the World Cup to be played in Australia and New Zealand next year.

Elton Chigumbura has been named the skipper of the squad.

Hamilton Masakadza will make his maiden World Cup appearance. He had made his ODI debut in 2001.

Elton Chigumbura (captain), Sikandar Raza Butt, Regis Chakabva, Tendai Chatara, Chamunorwa Chibhabha, Craig Ervine, Tafadzwa Kamungozi, Hamilton Masakadza, Stuart Matsikenyeri, Solomon Mire, Tawanda Mupariwa, Tinashe Panyangara, Brendan Taylor, Prosper Utseya and Sean Williams.
