UN: Health officials weigh national efforts to tackle non-communicable diseases

New York, July 11 (IBNS): With world leaders gathered Thursday in New York for the United Nations General Assembly’s review of efforts made since 2011 in controlling non-communicable diseases like heart disease, cancer, diabetes and chronic lung disease, the Organizations’ top health official launched a new report that shows progress at the national level has been insufficient and uneven.
