Washington DC/IBNS: In a historic show, former US President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle will join Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris as the latter strives to take on Donald Trump in the upcoming polls scheduled to take place on November 5.

According to the latest NBC News poll, Harris and Trump are currently in a deadlock position, with each holding 48 percent support, just ahead of the November 5 election.

Harris is currently leading Trump by a narrow margin of 50 percent to 48 percent among likely voters, according to the latest ABC News/Ipsos poll.

Meanwhile, the latest CBS News/YouGov poll reveals a tight presidential race, with Kamala Harris holding a narrow lead over Donald Trump among likely voters, that being 51 percent to 48 percent.

To support Harris in her political endeavor, the Obamas are set to hit the campaign trail in separate events starting next week.

The move has been planned considering the Obamas are still significantly popular with the Democratic base and hope to drive turnout in the swing states.
