Canada: People shopping more today than last Black Friday?
Ottawa, Nov 24 (IBNS): Canadian people are spending more time online on this Black Friday than last year, media reports said.
More time online indicates people have spent more time on shopping till 10 a.m. on Friday.
Black Friday, when people used to get sales, are going strong on Friday.
In the first 22 days of the ongoing month, the revenue of $1billion has been registered.
The report even said the revenue gone up by 16.8% in the Thanksgiving evening.
Black Friday, traditionally observed in the United States, is the informal name of the next day of the Thanksgiving day, the fourth Thursday in November.
The day, which is primarily observed in the US, also predominant in Canada, UK, Ireland, South Africa, Netherlands and some other parts of the world.
Black Friday is considered to be the beginning of the country's Christmas shopping season.
