Japan: Lockdown at US naval base over possible gunshots lifted
Tokyo, Nov 3 (IBNS): The lockdown of a U.S. naval base in western Japan has been lifted as no evidence of an active shooter was found, officials said.
The base was temporarily locked down following reports of gunshots.
"CFAS IS ALL CLEAR, LOCK DOWN HAS BEEN LIFTED.No evidence of shots fired or an active shooter. There were no injuries," Commander Fleet Activities Sasebo Japan said in a Facebook post.
