US, China sign 10-point trade deal

Washington, May 13 (IBNS): The US and China have signed a new 10-point trade deal on Friday, reports said.

Under the new deal, China will lift embargo on US meat products, and in return will be allowed to sell its cooked chicken in the US markets.

The deal will also allow Chinese banks to enter the US markets.

Following the deal, US President Donald Trump termed the development as the 'Real news'.

In a tweet, Trump said, "China just agreed that the U.S. will be allowed to sell beef, and other major products, into China once again. This is REAL news!"

Meanwhile, US Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross said that Chinese banks will get access to the US markets as long as they followed the prevalent rules.

"Clearly China, whose banks are among the largest in the whole world, wants access to the US banking market," Ross was quoted as saying by CNBC.

"As long as they can comply with the normal rules, they will get access," he said.
