Drugs worth Rs 9.5 crore seized in Mizoram

Aizawl: Following a specific lead, Aizawl District Special Branch of Mizoram police on Tuesday evening conducted an operation and seized 3,80,000 tablets of suspected Methamphetamine worth Rs 9.5 crore in International Market, concealed and packed in 38 polythene bags each containing 10,000 tablets from the possession of a Myanmarese national identified as Laldika (52 years old).

The consignment was seized from a rented tea stall of Laldinsanga (37 years old) of Armed Veng, Aizawl and police arrested both.

A case was registered at Aizawl police station (case no. 670/22) dated 06.09.2022 u/s 21(c) ND&PS Act r/w 120 B IPC r/w 14 Foreigners Act and and further investigation is on.
