PVR Inox responds to reports claiming Prabhas' Salaar opted out of chain

Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's 'Dunki' and Prabhas' 'Salaar' are set for a clash in the box office as the two big budget films releases this Christmas.

While 'Dunki' released on December 21, 'Salaar' is set to hit the theatres on 22nd of the same month.

Since Wednesday, several media reports have claimed the makers of 'Salaar' have withdrawn the film from PVR Inox and Miraj Theatres in some states for the exhibitors' favour towards 'Dunki'.

Now breaking silence on the entire controversy, PVR Inox has produced a statement trashing the 'speculations'.

The statement reads, "We have come across some speculative media reports about the film SALAAR and its release at PVR INOX Cinemas.

"We would like to clarify that these reports are incorrect, SALAAR is one of the most anticipated films of the year and it’s releasing across pan India PVR INOX cinemas on the scheduled release date i.e., 22 December 2023."

'Salaar'- directed by Prashanth Neel- stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan and Jagapathi Babu in the lead.

'Dunki', which has garnered mixed reviews, is Shah Rukh's inaugural collaboration with filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani.

It co-stars Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal and Boman Irani.
