Maharashtra: Nashik reports more than 2,000 cases, 15 deaths

Nashik/UNI: With 2,664 COVID cases being detected in the past 24 hours, Nashik continued with the trend of recording over 2,000 cases for the 8th consecutive day, official data said Wednesday.

With the new additions, the caseload has now surged to 1,53,561 while the death toll rose to 2,247 as

15 more people succumbed to the virus on Tuesday, the data apprised.

Meanwhile, 2,393 people were cured and discharged, taking the count of recovered cases to 1,34,091.

So far, a total of 6,45,255 samples have been tested, out of which the reports of 4,806 cases are awaited.

Presently, Nashik has 17,223 active cases, the data added.
