BJP returns to power in Himachal, Congress loses another state

Shimla, Dec 18 (IBNS): The Bharatiya Janata Party is all set to form the government in Himachal Pradesh as the saffron party is leading in 45 out of 68 Assembly seats in the state.

Congress is leading in 19 seats.

With the loss in Himachal, Congress loses yet another state to the BJP. The BJP will return to power in the state after five years of Congress rule.

Himachal will be the 19th BJP-ruled state in India.

The HP poll was a big clash between outgoing Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and BJP's Chief Ministerial candidate Prem Kumar Dhumal, who is trailing presently.
