Mumbai, July 29 (IBNS): Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, who is serving his three and a half years term at the Yerwada jail in connection with the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts, turned 55 years on Tuesday.
According to reports, his wife Manyata has planned a puja on the occasion.
Dutt returned to Yerwada Central Jail in Pune after his parole ended on March 22.
He had sought parole citing the health condition of his wife.
Some of his hit films include 'Kartoos' 'Khoobsurat', 'Daag: The Fire', 'Haseena Maan Jayegi' and the award winning 'Vaastav: The Reality', for which he won his first Filmfare Best Actor Award.
His role in 2000's 'Mission Kashmir' won him critical acclaim and a number of awards and nominations, as did his subsequent performance in 'Kurukshetra'.
He tasted immense success with the National Award-winning blockbuster 'Munna Bhai M.B.B.S.' (2003), which also garnered him several awards.
Later successes came with 'Musafir' (2004), 'Plan' (2004), 'Parineeta' (2005) and 'Dus' (2005). He also won critical acclaim for his performances in 'Shabd' (2005), 'Zinda' (2006), 'Shootout at Lokhandwala' (2007), and ' Agneepath' (2012).

The Supreme Court on Mar 21, 2013 announced its verdict on Dutt for illegal arms possession during the Mumbai bombings that had killed 257 people in 1993 in the nation's financial hub.
Dutt had surrendered in a Mumbai court on May 16.
