Subhash Ghai releases book on film directors

Mumbai, Jun 4 (IBNS): Indian film director, producer and screenwriter Subhash Ghai recently launched the book 'Not Just Bollywood', penned by film editor and producer Tula Goenka here.
‘Not Just Bollywood’ was launched at the film, television and media arts institute Whistling Wood International’s new venture - Andheri Base. 
 
The attendees included Anupama Chopra, Kaizad Gustad, Rehana Ghai, Meghna Ghai Puri and Ajay Mago amongst others.
 
Ghai said, "I am very happy that today this book has been launched, which is about 28 directors, written by Tula Goenka ji. She interviewed all of us. Whatever we have told, she has written it exactly."
 
"If you want to know that what directors feel about their films or how are they made or what they think while making a film, then do read her book," he said.
 
The event was held at the newly opened Andheri base which further plans to launch books by outstanding authors, offer healing art/yoga mornings, entertaining acts such as gigs, book readings, play readings, film screenings and stand-up comics act in the night.
 
Meghna Ghai Puri, President at Whistling Woods International (Mumbai Area) said, “I personally want to encourage screening of short films and have directors who makes such films discuss their work. It’s the future as there is a change in media.”
 
Puri added, “Now people are watching films on the Internet and their phones; thus, there’s huge scope for short films. Also, a lot of institute students do well in the short film space. We want to open the mindset of the people to appreciate Indian and international cinema.”
