Indian shooter Esha Singh, who won the 25m pistol women's team gold earlier Wednesday, grabbed a silver medal in the individual pistol event at the Asian Games 2023.

The 18-year-old shooter notched up a score of 34 in the final, which was four points short of the Asian Games record score set by China's gold medallist Liu Rui.

Jiin Yang of the Republic of Korea settled for a bronze medal, while Manu Bhaker finished fifth with 26 points in the 25m pistol women's individual final.

Esha will be in the fray for the women's 10m air pistol individual and team shooting events on September 29.
