Day three: Match ends in a draw, India and Sri Lanka Board President XI share honors
The Indian side lost early advantage on day three as the Lankan bowlers restricted them for 180 runs, picking up the last 6 wickets for just 68 runs.
Chasing a target of 411 runs, Sri Lanka Board President XI could manage only 200 runs for the loss of 6 wickets before the two captains decided to call it quits.
Ravichandran Ashwin picked up 3 wickets for 38 runs. One each was picked up by Amit Mishra, Umesh Yaadav and Harbhajan Singh.
Kaushal Silva remained unbeaten on 83. Upal Tharanga made a quick 52 of 54 deliveries.
India will next play Sri Lanka in a three test match series, commencing on August 12.
